What is an External Worker

External workers: freelancers, contractors, consultants, and service providers, are delivering core projects, running operations, and bringing in skills you can’t always find in-house. But most businesses still manage them with spreadsheets, emails, or not at all.

Contingent Workers

Non-employees whose activities are instructed by the Client (they work under supervision). All Liability for worker's actions sits with the Client. These could include Contractors, Temporary Resources and sometimes, Independent Contractors (ICs)

Services Procurement (SoW)

Non-employees delivering a pre-defined deliverable / project to the Customer. The employing entity is accountable for instructing & supervising the workers. All Liability sits with the Supplier. Sometimes an Independent Contractor or Consultant can fall under this worktype, if there is no direct supervision or instructions provided by the client.

Outsourced Workers

Non-employees delivering a Service to the Customer. The employing entity is fully responsible to deliver the Service to the Customer and managing their own employees' relationship. All Liability sits with the Supplier.
